I think it snows in March so we can truly appreciate when spring comes.... spring will come, won't it?! I remember one year when we lived in Peachland, I was planting flowers on my birthday, March 16. Pretty sure I won't be doing that this year!
Canadians truly ARE tough! People go about their normal business regardless of the obstacles in their way - bundling up themselves and their children in warm winter wear; shovelling their sidewalk and driveway; clearing off the car; shovelling the public sidewalk around their house! (it's true - everyone does it! It's like there is a secret neighbourly code... incredible!); dig out the car and warm it up (thank goodness for remote starters so at least the car has a chance to warm up before getting in).
Today the load of drywall arrived at our house and sure enough, the guys just unloaded it like it was a warm spring day....
When we lived in New Zealand, one of the things I missed was the changing of the seasons. Coming near the end of our first full winter in 10 years, I can't wait to experience the changing of the seasons and the arrival of springtime..... bring it on!!

(not my picture... wish it was... because then it would truly mean spring is around the corner.)
