2015 was calm and I guess that I was so calm I didn't blog all year. Haha. Definitely not the reason, but we will go with that! Here are the blogs that I did faithfully keep all year.
My year 5 class blog: www.room3twentyfifteen.blogspot.com
My professional development blog: www.mylearningsojourn.blogspot.com
My teaching inquiry blog: www.cherylnichol.blogspot.com
Plus I started a post grad in digital learning and married off another daughter at the start of the year.
Speaking of which, I will eventually blog about both of our beautiful daughters' weddings and add links to pictures and videos.
2016. This will be another year of change, however seeing that I've used that word to represent a year already, I am going to dub this the year of faith.
Faith

Faith
As Kevin and I look forward to 2016 we do so with complete faith in God, trusting Him that the direction He is leading us in is truly what we should be doing. Yes, there have been, are, and will be, times when we doubt, question, worry, wonder - but ultimately we trust and that lets us sleep at night and move forward knowing everything will be ok.
Areas we need to trust:
- sale of our house for the amount of money we will need to restart in Canada (we don't know how much we need and we don't know what our house will sell for, so we trust)
- that our daughters we leave behind in Auckland will be ok - health, safety, financially, emotionally - we won't be nearby, so we trust God to be near them and know that He will! And for our daughter who is overseas with her husband in a completely different country, we trust God for His presence in their lives
- that we will know what to do when we arrive in Canada - so many options, so we trust
- that God will place Kevin in a church where his gifts and abilities can be maximised and where we can find fellowship, friends and a sense of family - there are a lot of churches in this very big country so we trust God for the right one at the right time.
- that we will find a new house that we can make our home (and wouldn't it be miraculous if that could happen without a mortgage?!) God knows and so we trust
- that I will find fulfilment in volunteer or paid work - I love to keep busy and God knows where I will fit, so I trust
- for our future and that of our family, we trust.
Yes, this is a year of faith.
I have started a photo a day journal blog of our year of change and faith. You can find it here: www.365in2016bycheryl.blogspot.com
