Isagenix: Half way through

Isagenix:  Day 15 – half way

Last year my husband did the 30 day Isagenix cleanse programme and had good success.  His two brothers and their wives use it and you can see the positive affect it has on them.  I’ve thought about doing it on and off over the last year, but always thought up some sort of excuse why I couldn’t.  After I had my knee surgery in May I decided I wanted and needed to do something drastic to take the weight off my knee.  So I looked at my school calendar to figure out where it would fit in with my life, found some suitable dates, and made the plunge to order the product and commit!  It arrived two weeks before start date so I had lots of time to look at it and psych myself up.  I even purchased a Magic Bullet as my sister-in-law said it would be helpful (best purchase ever!)

On Saturday 6 July I started and haven’t looked back!  In the first 15 days I have lost 12 pounds (6 kg) and there is no sign of stopping!  I have heaps of energy, am seldom hungry, have no cravings.  I’m loving it!

Just a few of the things I’ve learned these past two weeks:
  • -       I really don’t need as much food I think I do
  • -       I can survive on much less coffee/caffeine than I’m used to
  • -       I really don’t need sugar in my life
  • -       Eating healthy is not that difficult and there are some very yummy recipes out there
  • -       It’s been fun to rediscover my joy in cooking and experimenting with food
  • -       I can survive a whole day on liquids  (on the full cleanse days)
  • -       Food tastes better when you are picky about what you eat
  • -       I’m REALLY thankful for my SILs suggestion to buy a Magic Bullet – one of my best purchases ever!  It makes the shake process sooooo much easier.
  • -       Chia seeds are amazing and now a daily part of my life

So, half way through my Isagenix journey and I’m so thankful I took the plunge and I look forward to the last two weeks and then carrying on with the lessons and lifestyle I’m learning through this journey.
