yellow gifts of fresh mercy

Today's challenge is to be thankful for 3 yellow gifts of fresh mercy.  That is quite the creative topic!

Let's see what the actual definition of mercy is and maybe that will inspire me!

mer·cy

/ˈmərsē/
Noun
  1. Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm: "the boy was begging for mercy".
  2. An event to be grateful for, esp. because its occurrence prevents something unpleasant or provides relief from suffering.
Synonyms
pity - compassion - clemency - grace - charity - ruth

No, that doesn't really help me to think up three yellow gifts of fresh mercy. But three yellow gifts today would be:  the beautiful, yummy peaches given to Kevin today; the glorious blooming flowers in my garden; finding two brand new novels in the library and they were #1 and #2 in a new series (they had yellow in the cover picture :-)  ..... although come to think of it 'an event to be grateful for' would encompass these three yellow things!  Yay!  I did it!  :o)
