Yes, you read that right.... fast forward one full year and pause to reflect on 2013....
Recently I heard about something called 360-degree feedback being used in a workplace. This is the feedback that comes from members of an employee's immediate work circle. It is used to gain insight into one's strengths, talents and competencies. It helps an employer to plan and map specific paths in their professional development.
Well, this got me to thinking.... if the people that I interact with every day - my family, my co-workers, my students, my friends, my on-line connections, those I casually come in contact with - had to assess me and give feedback on my strengths, talents and competencies and then likewise on my weaknesses and areas that need improving, how would I measure up?
Going forward into 2013, what areas do I want to improve in my life? What skills do I want to learn or get better at? What personality traits do I want to be known for and which ones do I need to get control of? What are my strengths that I want to build my year on? What are my weaknesses that I can work on? How will I measure up at the end of 2013 if the people in my immediate circle had to give feedback on me?
......this is my prayer in 2013......
