January is just about over and I sure haven't written much this month! For anyone out there who still may be following my blog, I'm still here! lol..... I seem to do much more on facebook these days, posting pics and writing about them. However, I know there are a few out there who are still non-facebookers, so I will keep trying to post something on here occasionally!
We've had a marvelous January, spending time together as a family, getting together with friends, meeting new people, greeting some visitors (Kevin's 2nd cousin from Ireland came through on a working holiday; and a friend of the girls' from Vernon who is here for Capernwray). January has always been a very hard month for me with the winter blues (SAD), so this has been so therapeutic for me to have a sunny, warm January. Praise God! This month has flown by with no depression! yay!
So next week, school and routine start up again. I'm back to work in the school office, full days this year. Paige and Danae are entering year 13 (their last year) and Kenz is entering year 11. They all have heaps of things planned for their year which is exciting to see. They continue to adapt so well and we are so thankful for their amazing attitudes and your prayers for them!
We're starting up an Alpha with our church in a couple of weeks. Please pray for a good response and that our church family actively invite their friends and family to attend. We're trusting God that this will be an effective outreach tool for our church. Ministry here is definitely different than in Canada. You'd think of NZ as a 'christian' nation, but it's not. There are so many different cultures merging here that it's a religious smorgasboard with Christianity being very nominal. Lots of work to be done here! Wanna come help??!? (or just pray please!)
Would love to hear from any of you who are still out there reading my ramblings..... I still have my Christmas cards up....they blessed us so much! thanks! :-) Should probably take them down before Valentine's Day!
