A few photos and stories of what we've been up to lately.

Danae got a job at Starbucks! She's thrilled (and so am I - she gets a free bag of coffee each week! Just in time for the delicious Christmas Blend!)

MacKenzie is still enjoying fostering kittens for the SPCA. Here she is with our newest addition, Skip. His sister, Lily is a fuzzy little grey kitten. They were found wandering the streets. Skip had a 'hissing' problem, so we are fostering them to help socialize them so they can be ready for adoption.

Paige is somewhere in that picture winning a Media Studies award. She is very good at making movies and starring in them! I hope that she pursues journalism as she seems to really have a gift for it. We'll see.

This past week I went to the Ellerslie International Flower Show. It was really beautiful with all the unique gardens and displays. This cottage is made up of over 40 different kinds of fruits and vegetables. When we first arrived it was pouring (and I mean pouring!) rain. However, after a few minutes, as is typical in NZ, it cleared up and we had a beautiful sunny spring afternoon.

Last weekend we went with the Mordaunts to the Clevedon Fair. It was a much smaller version of the Armstrong Fair. Probably what the Armstrong Fair was like 20 years ago. We had a fun time and got to watch Mower Polo, which was absolutely hilarious! Two teams of 4 men on riding lawn mowers, with field hockey sticks and a soccer ball. At half time they all stopped for a beer! haha. It was very amusing!
