sights this week.

Tuesday I took mom and dad to the Auckland Zoo. What a magnificent zoo! I hadn't been there yet, so it was a real treat to go with mom and dad. The zoo is laid out beautifully. Large open spaces for the animals. Great viewing areas. For the pridelands area we are actually above the animals on one side. There were giraffes, zebras, ostrich all in one exhibit hanging out together. In another one were 3 rhinos and some gazelle. The rhinos were chasing each other and play fighting. It was so cool! In this pic they are following a mother duck and her 3 ducklings, who were walking very quickly to get away from the rhinos! lol

Wednesday Kevin and I drove them out to Cambridge where the CapernwrayBible School is. We had great visit with Peter Thomas, the principal, who invited dad to stay and help with a building project. So if they don't arrive back in Canada next week, you'll know where they are! Mom and Dad got to meet Brad, Verity and Katherine, the three youth we know who are at school there. Mom and Dad know Brad's parents and grandparents, so that was a neat connection. Here's a pic of mom and dad and Brad and also one of the school with the beautiful cherry blossoms in bloom.

The last few days have been work/ school/ parent teacher interviews/ packing/ sorting/ relaxing/ playing scrabble. Tomorrow we are taking mom and dad for one last outing to the Coromandel Peninsula and the Hot Water Beach. Sunday evening mom and dad leave. Please pray for us all that our last few days are great and that we continue to enjoy every moment together!

Hi C--some wonderful photos you have here (smile)! I'm not much of a zoo fan, but this one looks really interesting. As for those ducklings walking away from the rhinos in haste--I think they have the right idea, eh?

Nice looking/sounding zoo. It also looked like a nice day to enjoy the park. I'm already thinking aobut hot water beach - that will be fun! The cherry blossoms look so amazing!
