We went to Sydney, Australia from Tuesday, Aug.7 to Monday, Aug.13 and had an amazing time! Aus is so much more like Canada than NZ is. We even found a 7/11 and a Krispy Kreme! lol. good times. I will post a day by day later, cuz we packed in everything we possibly could and I want to write it all down so I remember! 
We returned late Monday night, and since I'd already booked the kids out of school for Tuesday, we took advantage of having a family day and took Bruce and Niki to Piha.... we were so blessed with amazing weather, sunshine and warmth! On the way to Piha we stopped by the Waitakere Ranges to show them the rain forest and amazing view. (and a great photo op too!)

After a couple hours enjoying the black sand beach, waves, and absolute beauty, we headed back towards the city and stopped off at Crystal Mountain, which is a really cool rock store full of all kinds of different rocks.
Wednesday the kids headed back to school and the adults collapsed! haha.... We've been going 
pretty hard, seeing everything we can possibly take in! (and loving every minute with Bruce and Niki!) Paige played her final game in her school league and they won 1st place! yay. Pretty amazing for a team that wasn't doing too well at the beginning! Since she's been on the team, Paige introduced a team cheer before each half. They hadn't previously done that here, so now they all love it and we overheard the coaches saying that the boys' team wants to add one too! lol.

the night and killed it.) It was SOOOOO cold up there! Windy! Then on to a bit of souvenir shopping and in the evening, one last movie at one of the great theatres here!
