last day of this visit

Okay, so what do three teachers do on Bruce and Niki's last day in NZ???? Find out if the theory is true that the water goes down the drain in the opposite direction in the Southern Hemisphere. LOL. It goes clockwise, for anyone who really cares....

After settling that great mystery in life, we headed down to Mission Bay for some delicious ice cream at Moovlicks (or something like that) and a stroll along the ocean. The sparrows were everywhere down there trying to get our ice cream cones.

After a great feast of homemade lasagna and banoffee pie for dessert, we headed to the airport to say 'see ya later' and wonder of wonders I didn't break down into a sobbing mess! lol. My heart is so full of awesome memories and such a great time together and I am so thankful for the wonderful visit we had with Bruce and Niki, that I just couldn't feel sad. (except of course, we will miss them, however, now I can get to bed a little earlier.... :-)

Thanks for the memories and thanks for coming to visit us in our new home! We love you Bruce and Niki!

(Over the next couple of days I plan on writing out our Australia trip. I keep my blogs as my own personal journal of our time here, so I will be writing all about Aus real soon before my 40+ memory starts slipping! I hope whoever is still reading my blog has enjoyed sharing our fun vacation with Bruce and Niki over these past three weeks!)
