Paige and Kevin are off to Taupo (5 hour drive away) with 15 other teenage girls, one male teacher, one female teacher and a mom, for a week long national school soccer tournament. They're so excited. What a fun adventure! Another blessing that God has provided for one of our children through our move here. Thanks God!
So that leaves Kenz, Nae and I home to hang. Friday night I started redoing my kitchen floor. I bought peel and stick lino tiles and did the kitchen. This week I will finish the little laundry area that joins the kitchen. Even though we're renting, I just don't like living with disrepair around me. The kitchen lino was all scratched and scarred and rusted and yukky! It always bothered me. Combine that with the 'lovely' blue cupboards and I had just had enough. So I bought some cheap lino tiles, got approval from my landlord and now our kitchen actually looks good! :-)
This week I think I might also try to give some of my Canadian friends a call. I'm tired of one line emails that just don't tell me how they're doing! I miss my friends and being part of their lives. So hopefully in spite of the time difference and busyness of everyone's lives, I can do a bit of connecting this week.
