this past week

This past week we said 'see ya later' to our dear friends from Canada. This picture was taken at our church last Sunday during their last service with us. This is pretty much everyone in our church. There were about 15 people away this day. We have a small but wonderful congregation! In the evening we took Jason and Chelsey to the airport for their journey home. It was sad to see them go, but they've arrived back home and are ready to do what's next in their lives. It was such an incredible blessing to have them here helping in our church during these past 6 months. Their presence here made our transition so much easier. We were definitely blessed and incredibly thankful!
The next day we met Kelly, Jenn and Mateo at the airport to see them off. Kelly finished his 6 month doctor's fellowship here, which was a complete God-surprise. We planned to move here without even knowing that they were planning to do his fellowship here at the exact same time! Kelly was in Kevin's youth ministry about 17 years ago. It was wonderful to get to know them better and to spend time with them here. Another amazing gift from God to ease us into our new life here. So now it's just us Canadians and Matt & Sharilyn, who live on the other side of the city. We're feeling more settled with each passing day. Next week my brother and his wife arrive for a 3 week visit. We are so looking forward to having them here and showing them around our new home. I hope to post daily blogs during their visit to lure the rest of you to come visit too.... :-)
God is good!
