I woke up this morning missing my old bedroom

Yup, I woke up wishing I could look at my pretty green walls, nice curtainy thing, and have my own bathroom..... and then go into my nice, new, spacious colorful kitchen where I could have more than 2 people over for dinner and eat comfortably around the table.....

and then go downstairs to our cozy family room with the nice fireplace that my dad made the mantle for......

Yup, today I miss my old house. It was an extension of my personality. I don't like renting an old house. Don't get me wrong, I totally appreciate that we have a clean, decent place to live, but I have to admit, I miss having my own house to decorate, paint, and personalize. Paint is so incredibly expensive here ($60+/gallon) that we just can't afford to paint, even though our landlord would be okay with it.
But I won't dwell on it (or in it -a little joke there :-) .... I'll just take this moment to reflect and appreciate what I had and what I have now.
God is good!

Oh Cheryl! Don't do it!! you're making me miss my own house as well! although it's not as lovely as what you have back home in Canada! =)

As the saying goes, really, there's no place like home!

Hi C--there is no place like homw, but there's also love the one you're with (smile).

I hope you settle in and get nice and comfy!
