So here are my first 4 pieces of art that I have finished.
The brown one with the swirl is Koru. The Koru is the NZ Maori symbol for Life.
The one with the broken mirror, reflection, is from scripture.
The one with the patchwork, singing, is also from scripture.
The last one, rapture, I thought of after we were discussing the dictionary's definition of rapture during our prayer meeting. I liked the definition and thought that it was perfect description of what the Christian's rapture will be like, when Jesus returns! (in case you can't read it, the definition below 'rapture' says "an elated state of bliss".
I think I'm going to put them on trademe (the NZ version of ebay) and see what happens. I need to sell them so that I can get some cash to buy more supplies to feed my new addiction! Who knew this could be so much fun!?!?!

My other job - the real one that will give me a steady paycheque, is fantastic! I had my first day today and loved it! It is so AWESOME to be working with many other people as opposed to how I have spent the last 5 years working in a 2 person office. The school has 670 students age 5-11. Year 0 to year 6. There must be about 50 staff too! They have staff for everything! The other ladies in the office are wonderful and oh, so friendly! Yes, this will be a good job. I am so thankful to God for providing the perfect job for me.
By the way - a VERY BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to 4 of our family and friends back in Canada who have birthdays over the next two days: Yvonne, Dad, Jeamie, and Cam! Love ya all!

I've been playing a little with watercolors. It's like therapy.
