Today Paige and Danae ACED their NZ learner's licence exams! Hooray! So now they officially have 2 learner's licences! Canadian and Kiwi.
However, the bad news is ....and I still can't believe it!!!! and I quote,
"Learner licence conditions
- You must not drive on your own. You must be accompanied by a supervisor, who must always sit in the front passenger seat beside you. A supervisor is someone who holds a current full New Zealand car driver licence and has held it for at least two years."
yup, you guessed it.....Kevin and I do not qualify as a supervisor by the NZ Land Transport laws! THAT SUCKS!!!!!
So we need to either find some people to volunteer their time to drive with our girls or we need to come up with some funds to pay for driving lessons by a qualified instructor. sigh.
After 6 months they can take their practical exam for their Restricted licence. With their restricted licence they can drive on their own or with family members. So this is just for 6 months..... oh bother......
but they DID both pass their L ....so that's GOOD!!!!!
