Today we move out of the house we've lived in for the past 9.5 years! We are taking some of our stuff and moving to my brother & sister-in-law's home until we fly away on January 9th. We have until this Friday at noon to be completely out of the house. So we've got our little timetable of when things need to be done this week. Wednesday the moving company comes to take our 50 cubic feet of goodies to New Zealand. Hopefully it may even arrive in NZ around the same time we arrive in January. On Thursday we pack up Kevin's dad's truck and trailer for the things that are going into storage at our parents' homes.
This process has been extremely enormous! Sorting through absolutely everything in the house to make a decision: store, take to NZ, throw out, give away, sell, keep at Bruce and Niki's..... it's very exhausting and I have found that we have all had to take many mental, physical and emotional breaks during the process.
The kids have been amazing. We've only had a few meltdowns (that may or may not have been related to PMS!) Today Danae and MacKenzie take their cats to their new home. The cats get to stay together and are going to a very loving home, for which we are grateful.
Well, the day beckons and I just keep thinking that by next Saturday we will be all done with this phase. Please pray for us this week as we close up this chapter of our lives.
God is good!
