a quick update

We've had 4 nights in Ireland so far and every day has been jammed packed with adventure and memory making events! We are having a fantastic time!

A few highlights:
- we are staying in Kevin's great-aunt's in-law's 2 original farm homes. over 100 years old! amazing!
- we walked to Shaw's Bridge from Aunt Annie's. the oldest bridge in Ireland
- went to Bangor and had delicious fish and chips by the Irish Sea
- saw the Belfast parliament building. spectacular!
- took a city bus tour of Belfast and saw & experienced some of the troubles of the past...
- shopped downtown Belfast
- took a 2-hr train ride to Dublin. very cool!
- in one day, walked over 8 miles in Dublin led by our very energetic and wonderful tour guide, John Patterson (thanks Mom N. for letting us know he was here!)
- during that walk, we hiked up on some cliffs in Howth.....along the way, which, Paige lost her retainer (which we found on the way back down, but someone had driven over it! Paige's teeth now hurt!)
- explored the Malihide Castle. Danae was ecstatic to see her first castle!
- saw Riverdance. absolutely spectacular!
- tried to go to a pub but it was too late for kids to be in a pub....their first rejection from a bar.

today we are off on the city bus tour of Dublin, and then back on the train tonight to Belfast. Can't wait for more adventures!

It's great to hear that you're having fun =) Mom and Dad have almost refinished/remodelled the whole house. You should see the new swimming pool!
Sunny's fine, the cats are now living on the roof. =)
Our hike was very cool. I'll email you some pics.

Just home from Calgary and the family reunuion picnic which was rained out, no pounded out, so we all ended up at Tim and Kelly's. Also spent a few days in Edmonton at Assembly. Sounds like you are having a wonderful though tiring holiday but I know that is how you like it. Glad you found John and visited with him.
