holiday update

Yesterday we went to a very old castle, Carrickfergus. Just beautiful! Right on the Irish Sea. We also did something very-non-historic, and went to see Pirates of the Carribean in an amazing huge cineplex! Oh, I guess it is historic, because it's within a quarter mile of where the Titanic was built. Everything's historic around here! It's great!!!!!

Today we went to Armagh to visit 2 St. Patrick Cathedrals. The Protestant and the Roman Catholic. They were both beautiful in their own unique ways. The town is the oldest town in Ireland. The streets were very narrow and cobblestoned. Cool, old city!

Tomorrow we are going to the north coast to a town called Castletown, where Kevin's '1st cousin, once removed', Maurice, has a summer home. We will watch the 12th of July processions, Kevin and the men will go golfing, the ladies will set up base at the cabin and then explore the community and mostly hang out at the beach of the Atlantic Ocean! Can't wait!

On Thursday we head to London for 5 days.

On Saturday is Bruce's birthday...Happy Birthday Bruce! We'll sing for you from the double decker bus...hope you can hear us!

We continue to have a fantastic time! We are all getting rested from the craziness of June and thoroughly enjoying our time together as a family, exploring Ireland and getting to know our wonderful relatives here!

By now you will know what it means to be an Orangeman on the 12th of July in Ireland!!! I am very envious of your great visit to Ireland. Greet all the cousins and especially Auntie Anne for me.

Wow, Cheryl, I'm so excited for you all as you head off for London! That would be so cool to see and experience! You're in my prayers. :)

Hey, your for sale sign on the house is gathering interest - your poor neighbours! Looks and sounds encouraging, at least at this point. :D
