random (stole that title from Kevin!)

random things in my life.....

our family is in overhaul mode right now.... trying to get all the medical things done while we still have double coverage before Kevin's job is over and along with it, his extended medical!

So...Paige has been fitted for orthotics. We have noticed that she has very flat feet and complains about occassional knee and back pain. So we took her in and sure enough she needs orthotics. The foot guy (as she calls him) even kept one of her pair of shoes because they were so bad for her feet. (with Kevin's permission, of course!) Today I took Paige for a physio visit to get a few exercises to strengthen her knees and hips. She wasn't really thrilled with that visit and decided that she does not want to be a physiotherapist any longer!

Everyone has had their teeth cleaned and checked. Kenz was this morning. A shining bill of health! Good for us....no new cars or fancy vacations for the dentist!

Danae is in the process of having her two front teeth fixed after her ball accident of two years ago that left her two front teeth dead. I will add the picture of last week's dental visit. He drilled out the back of her teeth and took molds for the gold posts that will be attached this week, Thursday. She will also be prepped for the crowns that she will have permanently installed on the 22nd. She is amazing with dental work! She had those holes drilled WITHOUT any freezing or flinching! I am always amazed! It will be so nice for her to have two shiny white teeth instead of the dark teeth she has put up with for the past two years.

Danae is also having a minor procedure to remove a small blood vessel mark under her eye....also on Thursday. She will be well-overhauled by Thursday night!

Running everyone to and from appointments for the dentist, doctor, etc has taken up alot of our time along with all their sports. But it is good to get all this taken care of now.

Speaking of which....Kenzie's ball team is doing very well. She is an amazing bunter! She hit a perfect bunt tonight. Awesome!

Paige made the local newspaper....I will include that pic too.... She has also scored 3 goals in the last 4 games. Two of those goals caused the games to end in ties! She was so happy! One was a penalty kick. The other was slide kick right in front of the goal off of a corner kick. She continues to improve in her soccer skills every year. It's pretty exciting!

There...exciting post, eh?!?!?!

ps..... less than 4 weeks till Ireland!!!!! now THAT'S exciting!!!!!!!!!!

I hate these types of parental responsibilities! Such a drag! But my kids are due for dental and optometrist appointments. Dallas has to see a asthma/allergy specialist and a urologist in Saskatoon.

Good for you Kenz, glad to hear you inherited the ball player genes.
