change is afoot....

On Sunday Kevin announced his resignation from the church we started 13 years ago. It's time. God's time. ... and it's perfect.... because it's God's time! We don't know where we are going or what he will be doing, but we will wait and pray and trust. I have great peace. His last day is June 30th.

On the weekend I was pretty stressed out... thinking about packing.... counting down the 'Saturdays' until we leave for Ireland (9) and how little time that is to pack a house we have lived in for 9 years, especially when half our Saturday is spent at sporting events. .. (I was thinking that we had to have everything packed, house sold, etc. before we leave for Ireland.) Then Monday morning, I had a wonderful quiet time with God. He reached down deep and touched my soul and gave me peace. (I think my family is probably the most happy... I was a tad stressed and cranky!) So now.... que sera sera, whatever will be, will be! Plus I realize that now, barring an incredibly quick process, we won't be doing any moving until August or later.... so all's good.

Please pray for us that God will give us direction. Kevin would love to start another church, so we will see if God has a place somewhere in mind! Pray for our kids. They've been experiencing a myriad of emotions. Pray for our finances that things will be okay until Kevin has another job. Thanks.

God is good!

p.s. Paige scored the first goal in last night's soccer game! Their team won their 2nd straight and the 2nd game of the season... they're off to a great start!

Hey, the change will be nice, though I imagine leaving your nice home behind will be hard. I predict you will head towards Calgary.

Good going Paige. YAY! You GO girl!

Has anyone else noticed that Blog comments are disallowing apostrophes?

WOW!!! What a huge step to resign with nothing out there. I admire people who can do that and be at peace. I know where that peace comes from but to be able to actually step out like that?? Not sure I could do it -especially having kids. Great testimony you have.

Wow! What a step of faith. You have been a blessing to so many through PCC, I pray that you will be greatly blessed wherever God leads you.
