1 awesome Weight Watchers on-line program PLUS 2 very committed & motivated individuals PLUS 5 weeks, that actually have gone by quite quickly, EQUALS a combined weight loss of 35 pounds! Yah, it's true....Kevin and I have decided enough is enough and have made some VERY significant changes in our lives! We are very excited about how things have been going! I'll update you again in another five weeks! :-)

Mom and Dad Nichol were just here for a few days. As always, it was just wonderful to have them around! The kids love being bugged by grandpa and doted on by grandma (and playing endless games of Rummi!)
Uncle Neill was also here for a few days, preaching at our church's fasting and prayer meetings. It was awesome to have him here as well. It is so great for our kids to get to know their great-aunts and uncles whenever the opportunities arise!

All the new jobs are going well too. Paige gets pretty tired from the 10:30p.m. shifts, but she recovers pretty quickly (and we will try to make sure they aren't too frequent). Kenz has only worked for one 1.5 hour shift helping get things set up in the restaurant. This week she will hopefully pick up another shift or two.

One of the things I like to do with our girls happens every year around this time. When we get our tax return back, no matter what other expenses need to be covered by it, I always budget $100 for each girl for a one on one shopping trip with me. It's so fun! We get to spend some quality time together and they get to buy whatever they want with their $100. Danae bought a pair of $50 shorts from American Eagle. A bit pricey, but hey, it's her choice! Paige wants to spend all of her money on new soccer cleats. MacKenzie just wants to refresh her wardrobe a bit. Kevin and I...well.... we will need to be getting ourselves some new, SMALLER, clothes!! :-)
