password overload

Last night I was blog-surfing and came across a wonderful discovery ... www.freecycle.org . You really have to check it out. In signing up to join, I had to open a yahoo account. So I'm going through the process and they want me to choose a username and password, and online nickname. The couple that I usually use weren't available so I had to come up with another new one. Between 3 systems at work that require different usernames and passwords, plus the myriad of work-related sites I use that have different usernames and passwords, plus the 3 email programs that I now have (outlook express, hotmail for msn, yahoo for freecycle), plus my blogger password, ebay, paypal, ticketmaster, library, banking and on and on it goes.....help! I'm drowning in passwords and usernames. I think I am going to short-circuit! The worst is when I go away on vacation and come back to work and totally have a brain-block and have to call our help-line to sign in. haha.... so embarrassing! I think this next holiday I will write everything down somewhere and hide it .... then I have to remember where I hid it!

Anyone have any good memory pills!?!?!

You need a password manager program! I personally don't have one, and I'm always clicking the "forgot your password?" button on websites. But, with a password manager program you'd only have to remember the password to that program, and of course the password to get onto your computer...

I hear yah! I just signed up to a Business Ed teacher frappe site and now I can't get back on, forgot the password. Forgot password button doesn't send me a reminder, so must have miscommunicated my email, too! Hah!
