3 sleeps

yes, 3 sleeps until i board an airplane for a short flight to vancouver, hopefully find a bench that is comfy, sleep a few hours, board a very early plane and fly away to neuvo vallarta!! i am extremely excited to be going with my mom & dad & brother.

i have: dug out my shorts (hopefully they fit), found my old swimsuit that i probably haven't worn in 2 years (i am not a water-person, but i will take it just in case the urge overwhelms me and i must get into the ocean), faked and baked until i am no longer a pasty winter white, had my eyebrows waxed (who cares), dug my sandals out of the garage shoe pile (i should probably paint my toenails), found my out of country insurance cards (from kevin's employer & mine - i am well covered for anything from hospitalization to cremation!), got my passport ready (should photocopy it), packed imodium, gravol, pepto, dimetapp, tylenol (thanks for the advice, yvonne), had an immunization, picked out 5 novels to take along, found extra rechargeable batteries for my digital camera (i now have 1 gb memory card - 695 pictures!!!!! yee ha!!!), hidden a bit of cash for mad money (better not forget where i hid it), found out which friends need mexican vanilla

yet to do: make sure everything is set up at work for my temp, make a list of food that kevin and the girls can prepare when they all get home from school/work and can't figure out what to eat and would rather eat out than make the effort to prepare something!, finish packing, make sure kevin has a list of who is to be where and when next week (there's work, track, voice lessons, youth, band practice, etc......), try to remember everything i need to remember before i go away, attend meetings for the next two evenings, get on the plane, and forget everything about my every day life (except my family, of course!)

------------------------------
On a much different note: we have some friends who have been having some problems and today I found out that the problems are far more severe than I realized (or maybe than I wanted to believe), and it has really hit me hard. My heart is extremely heavy for them. Please pray for restoration. Thanks.....that's something else I will be doing as I lay on the beach, is praying for our friends.
