Saturday was all about giving to our kids!
I reserved 17 tickets for the Kelowna Rockets and Kamloops Blazers game in Kamloops. Danae took care of contacting all their camp LIT buddies to see who wanted to come. Danae left for Kamloops by Greyhound on Friday so that she could spend a bit more time with her friends there. Saturday afternoon Kevin left here with Paige and Janelle and picked up 3 kids in Vernon and then headed to Kamloops to meet up with everyone else for supper at Boston Pizza and then the hockey game. The kids had a blast even though the Rockets lost (don't ask them about the reffing :-( They got home late, tired and very happy. Paige and Danae have made such amazing friendships at camp. What a blessing....thanks God!
(I love Ben's t-shirt..."raised by wolves". Kevin said he made the little old lady next to him awfully nervous :-)

Meanwhile back in Kelowna.....MacKenzie and I went shopping! yee ha! MacKenzie was in dire need of a wardrobe update, so we went for it. We had so much fun and she felt so awesome. At one point we were walking down the mall , she was carrying all her purchases, and she said, "I feel like I am in a movie where the person goes shopping and they walk out carrying a whole bunch of bags." She loved it and we were able to find her a lot of really nice clothes that suit her perfectly. She couldn't stop smiling and hugging and thanking me. Of course, we had to have the full fashion show when we got home, along with the model catwalk. It was a wonderful mother-daughter day!
To top it off, we were going to go see a movie, (her treat) but we decided to check out Zellers for the new Star Wars and there it was on sale for $14! So she bought it and we watched it after the "fashion show"...until we fell asleep on the couch...(okay, I fell asleep, she said it's time to go to bed!) haha...great day!
