you'll never guess what I did today....

Yes, I did something today that I don't think I have ever done before.....

I joined the craze and purchased a lotto 649 ticket for the $40 million jackpot. I can't believe it myself! I have never been one to purchase lottery tickets. In fact, I went into the store next door and had to ask the cashier how to purchase a lottery ticket. I bought one quick pick and one where I had to choose 6 numbers. Go figure.... and I chose the extra. haha

Driving in to Kelowna today I began to think about what would happen if I actually won. If you know me, you will know that I am pretty much a realist and not a huge materialistic dreamer. So it was a fun little venture letting my mind think about what I would do with that much money. The very first thing I would do (after paying off debts/mortgage, of course) would be to buy land and build our church family a building...our very own church home! That would be so awesome.... and then of course, there are the trips, financial gifts to our siblings, parents and tucking money away for the kids' futures. Oh to dream...it was kind of fun, and then of course, reality hits me as I chug away in the truck, while our van is still in the shop....

.....but I will tell you tomorrow if I chose the right numbers! :-)

I'm not sure how your elders might feel about money from a lottery!! Your family on the other hand would turn nothing down I'm sure!!

At this point I don't think our elders would care where the money came from! We are tired of setting up and taking down and dealing with renting!

This past Sunday, a Saturday night out-of-control wedding party, walked out of the Community Centre leaving behind the disgusting remains of a drunk-fest. Not pretty.
