Danae gets to have a new and wonderful experience today. She has gone to Willowpark Church with two other youth from our church to a WillowCreek Arts and Worship Conference Simulcast. Danae's heart's desire is to be a worship leader. She has grown up being led by the best! (Bruce and Niki - okay, I am not at all biased!) So when this opportunity came up and the people who were originally planning to go weren't able to, we asked the youth and they jumped at the chance. I am sure they will have an awesome time! The other piece to the puzzle is that Danae was invited to join Bruce and Niki's worship team. They practice Thursdays and lead worship 1-2 times / month. She came home from Thursday's practice pretty pumped!
A couple of other tidbits of nichol news....work is going so well for me....finally! I am busy and happy! Yay! My new rep is wonderful to work with. His wife is a very good friend of mine, so I have known Shayn for a few years. Thanks for your prayers over this past year of yuk!
Paige pulled a muscle in the back of her leg a couple of weeks ago. It took her a week of continuing to try to play every sport possible and reinjuring herself, to realize she had to STOP and let it heal. She has been sport-free for a long long long long week, but is hoping that she can try to play at today's soccer game. This could be their last game, unless they win and make it into the Kelowna cup which is Oct.16th.
MacKenzie went to a movie with some friends last night. That was good for her. Sometimes she feels a bit left out of the activity level of her sisters. Tomorrow she was invited to go along with her riding teacher to a horse show for the day. Even though she will be missing church, she needs to do some things that are unique to her.
Kevin had a house fire last night....that is always an adrenalin rush! There was just some damage to the inside of the house. In a couple of weeks he gets to go to Vancouver for a BC Chaplaincy conference.
My ladies group is going great! We are all really enjoying each others' company. There were 9 people there on Wednesday. I am also pumping out the afghans! I am half way through my 3rd. I love it! Should have started this ages ago...but I guess I wasn't in the crocheting frame of mind.
I loved Aunty Joan's letter about her trip with Samaritan's purse! What an adventure and an opportunity to make a difference!

In honor of Grandma Edna's funeral service today....what a gracious lady who loved the Lord!
