Yesterday we watched a movie, The Motorcycle Diaries. It started out a bit slow, plus it was in subtitles. However, as it progressed it got much better. It is a true story of a couple of men who took an old motorcycle across South America in the early 50's. Their goal was to help at a a leper colony on the Amazon River. It had a good story, but the thing I thought was very cool, was that in one scene I noticed these rock stairs heading up a mountain and I said to Kevin that it looked familiar. The men come upon an ancient city high in the mountains. Well, I recognized it from Tanya and Jesse's photos of the trip they just went on with Jason and Julie! It was so cool! If any of you 4 read our blogs, and you haven't yet watched that movie, you would probably really enjoy it. The city is called Machu Picchu. The movie was a cultural experience of South America in the 50's. Kevin said it actually felt like we were along for the journey.

I guess we'll have to rent this movie. It sounds like it has good cinematography. I like movies like "Out of Africa" simply because of their great scenery.

If you rent this movie, just be forewarned there is swearing...but it is subtitled...so you can just close your eyes! :-)
