Last night as we were driving home from 19 Greens mini golf in Kelowna, we noticed an orange glow on the horizon. Another forest fire. This photo was taken about 1-2 hours after we had driven past. We didn't actually see any flames just the orange glow. We rushed home in case Kevin's department was sent to help out, which they weren't.
This fire is above West Kelowna Estates /Rose Valley area. People have been evacuated but no homes are in immediate danger. So that is very good!
Today they have the full arsenal of water bombers, etc. hitting it hard. Noone in this area wants to watch another firestorm like we had 2 years ago (just about to this date) that destroyed 238 homes. If you want to keep up to date, you can check www.castanet.net
