Today we pack, tomorrow we are off right after church. After today, you may not hear much from any of us unless we can sneak onto the camp's computer as we go through blog-withdrawal!
This is a photo of my 'happy place', Eagle Bay Camp. Our kids have gone for the past 6 years and I have gone 3 times as a helper. I love it. It is so relaxing and fun! This year we are all going, as Kevin is speaking. My brother, Bruce, and his wife, Niki, are coming to lead worship. P & D have 3 friends going as campers. It is just going to be a great time all around!
On Saturday we will leave camp and head to Calgary. We are bringing one of Paige's friends, Sarah, with us for the week. (She is going to camp too, as a camper). We have never brought one of the kid's friends on vacation with us, so this will be a first. We are looking forward to having her join us. She is a great kid. Her and Paige have been working odd jobs all week to earn enough money for our vacation. They weeded for 2 days, washed a van, did a bottle drive, babysat, and got 2 days of work at the Old Garage restaurant bussing tables and doing dishes as the long weekend is incredibly busy downtown Peachland. That is also why you haven't heard much from Paige. She is actually getting tired out! :-)
Well, I guess I should start my day. All the prep for being away for 2 weeks, as well as running Paige and Danae back and forth from their jobs today. Tonight we have a 40th b-day party to go to, as well. Although we will probably just eat supper, visit for a short time, and get back home to pack the van.
