The worst day of holidays is the first day back to work! Actually the whole week is kinda tough, getting back into routine. Up early, back into a schedule, etc....
I got back to work on Monday morning only to discover that the rep who has been working in our office during the transition period, had been called back to head office. He is from the Mississauga area and was commuting here 2 weeks on, a weekend at home. Summer in the Okanagan is not really business-driven, so things have really quieted down at work and head office decided he could oversee the accounts in our office from head office and thus get to be near his family. So I am happy for him. He was great to work with for the past nine months.
Then I got a phone call informing me that the new rep, who is currently finishing up his training, will be qualified to take over our office as of September12th. Which means, that I am now officially completely alone in a very quiet office for TWO months! I have plans to peruse the training modules on our Edward Jones system, and I am helping do a bit of training for our new rep, but for the most part it is me, my computer and the occassional visitor that I can pull in off the street :-) By the time I officially have a new boss, it will be 11 months of being an office in transition! I truly didn't think I would still be there by the end of it, but none of the jobs I have applied for have panned out, plus I have been pretty picky. Even though my job is very quiet, there are some definite pros to it, that keep me there. Also, when the new rep arrives in fall, things will really start happening! I am excited about that! So for now, I am the "filling time professional"! rah rah!! If you have any brilliant ideas of things for me to do, please let me know! :-)

Oh well keep praying and waiting and in the mean time "working" if you can call it that.
love ya babe
Cam, the financial industry is definitely not my passion, so taking the courses would be a waste of time and money. But, a good idea, none the less, thanks.
Shuana, the street people seem to have somewhat disappeared while we were on vacation??!! But, yes, when one of the more intimidating ones wanders around, I will definitely be locking up! The summer Peachland 'street strollers' are very young, beautiful and incredibly scantily clad. Just as scary as the homeless crowd!
This is a fun animation site that might interest you at work for a few minutes.
