For those of you who know my work woes and how incredibly bored I am each day, I have good news! Things are looking up! A friend of ours, Shayn, has been hired to be the new Investment Rep in our branch of Edward Jones. He is currently in the middle of the 5 month training process. At this stage they are required to door-knock and get 25 contacts per day. The same day they are to enter all the contact info on the Jones computer system and handwrite and mail thank you notes. Most reps who are starting out with Jones have to do all of this themselves, however, Shayn was given permission for me to do this for him, so it's a win-win. I get something to do and Shayn gets some help! He won't actually be in our office doing business until his training process is complete and he has 'proven' himself to the company, which will be sometime later this summer. But for now, I have a project and I am happy! It will be over 10 months that our office will be without a permanent rep, which is a long time to try to keep oneself busy! I have become a pro at finding things to do....I know the internet really well! :-) And I have read alot of books! Once Shayn comes later in summer things will be hopping! I am getting really excited and am thankful that I can see the end of this long transition period!
