colds, internet, kids & art

This week has been all about being sick. First Danae had it a couple weeks ago, then Paige got it, then MacKenzie, then me and finally Kevin. The bug has manifested itself in Kevin as a lost voice for the past week. He's never had it this bad before. We're not sure if he'll be able to preach this Sunday. Wait and see. My cold is mostly sinus, so I can keep functioning fairly normally. But then again, moms aren't really allowed to get sick, are we?

So, I've discovered a new internet toy! Facebook. Thanks to my sister-in-law, Janelle. Yup, I've got a new place to play. If you haven't signed up yet, do - or don't - depending on how much time you want to spend on-line! It's a pretty cool program as it links you with friends from all over. I'm really enjoying connecting with people from over the years and miles.

I'm also babysitting this week. The cutest little kids. Just 2 hours a day. Unfortunately it's probably the 2 hours in the day that I like least to be away from home. Right when my kids get home from school. I always enjoy that time of day, as they are chatty and talking about their day at school. Oh well, it's just for another week.

I started an art class this week. First time ever. Well, actually I took an art class in university that I really enjoyed. So first we are drawing and later we get to paint. I can't wait to get into the abstract 3D kind of painting.

That's about it. Just a regular old week down under. Tomorrow P&D head to Cambridge to spend a couple of days at Capernwray. They are really looking forward to it. There are a couple of girls there from Vernon Alliance who we've connected with. Our cousin through marriage, also has a nephew there from Calgary. So maybe they'll meet him too.

Maybe next week we'll have more exciting things to write about and pictures of some new adventure..... :-) I did try to take some pics of the full moon as it is so beautiful, but they just didn't work out.

Hope you are all feeling better soon! An ART class! What fun! I'd love to do that too.

Do you still feel like you should be doing something exciting and exotic every week, or is the idea of a 'regular' week appealing? We have lots of 'nothing new' weeks and the most regular part is just being plain old busy!! :)

We are definitely busy! I don't know when I would go to work if I did have a job! It's just much more fun to write about the places we see and things we do than normal every day things. However, I do have some normal every day stories I hope to blog about in the next day or two that have meant alot to me.
